after much deliberation - i have decided.
Yours truly have mustered up enough courage to apply for SIP with the Public Service.
After many explanations of how i won't be doing anything terribly economics upon graduation, I was thinkin to myself, "Wat the heck, go for the kill!"
Project 1: Ministry of Home Affairs - 'Correlation between the drug abuse and trafficking situation and the state of the economy'
Project 2: MTI - 'Comparative study of productivity growths in the service and manufacturing sectors'
Project 3: MOM - 'Comparative study on Labour Productivity'
Project 4: MOM - 'Promoting quality workplaces and work-life harmony'
Me applying for SIP kinda showed few things..
One, you can never really be sure of what will happen even when you plan so much..I was supposed to be studying for the whole year to finish off everythin..But when the mailer came thru - it was almost like a dare..a challenge..a calling for me to step out of the covers of under-estimating myself, and for once, dare do something i wouldn't typically do.
Reach for the stars yo. Wish me luck.
If it comes thru, yay for me! Of course, I'd end up doing a bit more workload twds the end of the year when the next term starts..but hey..at least its an experience in the government.
If it doesn't - well, at least i knew i gave it a shot. And I shall find delight in the normalcy of mundane student life here at blissful SMU.
