Huat ah!

Celebrated my 1st Chinese New Year with hubby's family. His (half-)Chinese side is of the hok-chew clan, if I recall correctly. It was fun, and funny how the cousins and aunties were making fun of how he has 'grown up' to be an 'uncle' who dished out hong baos to the kids. :)

We forgot to charge the camera, so we only got to take 2 pics of us in the cab, on the way to Ema's place.



It was a mad rush trying to do the last minute stuff last night, like counting how many hong baos to prepare, getting the mandarin oranges and a new top (I know, me and my last minute antics!) In case anyone needs mandarin oranges at the eve of CNY (not the wisest thing to do, but hey you never know), Cheers convenience stores stocks them up, when NTUC, etc are closed. So, phew~

Totally enjoyed myself today, meeting and chatting with my new relatives. Times like these make me appreciative of embracing new cultures and familial traditions of my other half.
