Not going, going gone after all

Well, well, after much hesitance I am back with this post. Its 7pm and I'm blogging on a weekday, reason being I woke up with a lousy throat and feeling chilly. Since the other half was down with a flu I thought I may have caught the flu bug from him but thankfully, the GP told me it was a common cold.

I have been busy looking around for flats. It has become almost second nature to track what flats are up for sale, what's the market like etc. Very interesting actually, but I must admit it gets pretty frustrating cos until we get a place, the house-hunt and wild searches won't stop.

In any case we're waiting for a good one to come so I guess we gotta keep a lookout for good buys and wait for the market to cool down (this is however, a very subjective point as I've come to realise. When will it really be a good time to buy, how much 'cooling down' am I expecting.)

Work has been great, busy but I like what I'm doing. I have however, fallen prey to a victim of habit and wake up slightly later than I'm supposed to. Hence I end up walking into office a bit later than usual, and ending later than usual. I hope to break this bad habit when fasting month comes round next week. Hopefully I can improve my self-discipline then. Always room for improvement, right.

I also have a new-found joy in spinning classes. In case you haven't heard of spinning, its actually cycling on a stationary bike with an instructor guiding us thru the journey. Resistance is simulated by a knob which controls the difficulty levels and gives it various terrain-like feels. I like spinning because it is both a mental and physical journey for me each time I go for spinning class. The results you get is based on how much you put in, so I always try to push myself a little bit more. It is also about how you feel throughout the journey, and how determined you are to make it to the finishing point - a lot about determination, strength and a will to go on when the odds are against you. At the end, it is a high from great satisfaction and giving yourself a pat on the back for the strenuous 1-hour workout.

The other half is performing this Sunday at Baybeats. They have been practising all these months for the gig, I'm actually quite glad it'll be over soon. Speaking of which, I'll be jamming with USV later this evening. Hope to make some good music then.

Life's good, nothing more I can ask for except to feel appreciative and thankful for the riches He has blessed me with.

And I pray the same for you reading this, too. ;)
