And so I've been struck with a throat infection the second time round. This time, it came back with a vengeance, stronger than before.
There is something humbling about falling ill. It reminds you of how fragile we are, that in a matter of seconds, minutes, or hours, we can be so different physically. I, for one, am pretty prone to having weird dreams and recollection of the past, whenever I fell sick. Memories that had been tucked away in a chest suddenly emerges, bringing me to a time not too long ago.
It s simply amazing how the days pass by, but out of the pockets of days, truly meaningful things happen along the way.
More often than not, we forget these precious, defining moments and only allude to them in our darkest of times. I guess we can all learn a thing or two about being thankful for our blessings, at any time of any day.
