Happy Labour Day!
Its 1st of May and a Saturday, which means we'll get compensated with 1 day leave soon. I never really knew the importance behind Labour Day. I remember watching the cult classic 'The Wicker Man' and its about this civilisation which practices paganistic values. On May Day they danced around the Pole which was supposed to represent a phallic symbol.
But I digress.
Anyway, this means that the year is almost mid-way now, and boy hasn't it been a ride. Been pretty occupied with some projects at work, and when I reach home its pretty much a 'Do Not Disturb' moment for me. The weather's pretty erratic too, often raining at 5-6pm when we're about to knock off, otherwise its utterly humid. I seek solace in the comfort of my room, with the air-con & fan on. Ah, bliss.
I had a nice time today. Woke up pretty late, cooked some pasta. I cooked mine bolognese style, with eggplant and hotdogs, while the other half cooked his aglio olio with some smoked ducked. Good stuff! We watched tv for a bit, esp since Starhub just re-programmed all their channel numbers and is having a free preview of all channels this weekend long. Later in the evening I caught Iron Man 2 with my elder sister and her family. We had dinner shortly after, at a halal Tim Sum place in Simpang Bedok. Am so stuffed now, but that's all good.
