wat's wit the black?

common question yesterday. told em i was into this whole look.
and that it was sumthin to look fwd to.

had ethics class yesterday.the prof is a lawyer by training.
i like ethics.lotsa philosophies, legendary greats and their works to be read.
like this kinda stuff.

headed to tv centre to support a friend on tv yesterday too, after class.
it was ok..the forum was mainly b/w 4 malay muslim undergrads from brunei, and 4 from SG.
The guy from SG team was kinda cute in a nerdy way.but the SG team wasn't too power as compared to the brunei team though.they were way more eloquent and had better grasp of malay language than the SG team in discussing the topic of the day, which was on gender inequality.
one of em made this interesting point which sticks with me till now: how is it that in higher formal education, the females dominate and constitute a much higher percentage of student population, yet in terms of managerial positions and high postings in the corporate scene, men dominate and take up much of the places, compared to women.
unfair? discrimination? justified?
you tell me.

on a lighter note: met up with a buncha dudes i got to know a year back who hv indeed become good friends of mine - one of the friends who qualify under the "now-u-see-me, now-u-don't" category... had some vietnamese food..not too bad for a first time..and we headed for tau huay after that..tried red peanut-y ang ku kuay and portugese egg tarts too. nice! =) felt bloated after that..told chucky that thank god his birthday wasn't everyday..otherwise we be fat at the rate we hv huge dinners like yesterday's.

kinda nice to be in a familiar group of friends, just catchin up on wat we been up to and stuff.
feel grown up too, cos 2 of em are like graduates from NUS and hv started their careers and all...

more importantly, the highlight of the meet up was the celebration of a gd pal's birthday. told me that i seem much more happy and stable now, as compared to last yr when i seem to be partying away and doing wild stuff in the attempt to forget sumthin. yep, that pretty much summed me up. (eventhough i was in denial abt this if u asked me one year ago)

that was all part of the learning process which built me up to wat i have becum today.
i'm proud of that.

here's to looking forward, and wat lies ahead.
like my financial programming class which starts at 12 later.

cheers.
