Spending it with the other half was different - now instead of your family, you got an extended family to celebrate it with. SO the first day was pretty chaotic, trying to cover my side and his side. Was tired at the end of it all! As the years go by, Raya means to me more of a celebration of spiritual triumphs and spending quality time with the loved ones, instead of green packets, good food and that fun outing with your school mates. Everyone gets a lil bit more detached, a lil more solemn as the years go by..
Anyways, I ate a funky dish on the 2nd day of Raya which caused me the runs! On Monday morning I found myself waking up at every hour (3am - 6am) to visit the loo. No joke! Still I found the strength to get to work as there was a pretty impt meeting to attend. Glad I did.
Today was the fun day out with the work peeps..we went to a nice cafe in Holland V, then headed to Settler's Cafe which had board games for our group of 13. We played Saboteurs, Project X and some other card game. Good fun! Time passed and we didn't even feel it!
Got home to finish up some work, and am mindlessly surfing the Net (i.e. Facebook).
Maybe I should just stop typing and put up some pics.. :)
