Bouncing back to life

This week wasn't too bad. On Wednesday, I attended a break fast session with the MLCC people in Uni. Nice catching up with the guys. It made me realise that eventhough we didn't see each other nor talk much over the months/years, some things don't change. You can still carry a conversation with these friends just like it was yesterday, and sharing them about your life's updates are second nature and so easy. I guess these are the bonds we should truly treasure, because it shows the level of sincerity and love invested in the friendship.

Yesterday after work we also caught up with my other 2 couple friends, for a mini birthday celebration for one of the girls. Had a good time laughing over silly jokes and talking married-life stuff. Thereafter I watched District 9 with the hubby at Cathay Cinema. It was about a group of aliens who settled down on Earth (somewhere in Johannesburg) where this community became the slums. It was directed by Peter Jackson, same guy behind Lord of the Rings. Found the movie pretty disgusting and graphic, cringing and hiding my eyes from the screen. But the story line was 'brilliant' (sic hubby), and it was quite an eye-opener, looking into human nature and its ways.

Today we spent the entire day sleeping in, save for the 2-3 hour cooking/eating/clean-up during break fast. I love staying in over the weekends, because (1) we don't spend much, (2) we get to avoid the crowds and (3) we get to eat home-cooked food, since we usually dine out or takeaway after work on the weekdays. And yes, it was a yummy spread today. Totally enjoyed it.

Now am watching Suze Orman on CNBC - I find her quite inspiring, and I wished we had a Suze Orman equivalent in SG. That would be interesting, wouldn't it? But one of the exciting aspects of the show is watching the financial condition of Americans, and seeing how reliant they are on credit just amazes the hell outta me.

This post is pretty long, isn't it? But just to come full circle, it kinda tells me that I am indeed, bouncing back to life at my own time. Cheers!
