understanding oneself

Of late I had encountered some things which made me question a bit about how I view certain things. What makes a person? The things they do, the words they say, their education, their upbringing, experiences..what exactly?

Sometimes, as a person looking in and trying to make sense of what someone said, and how they said it, etc can be very misleading. In trying to read one's actions and words, this inevitably calls for some judgement/justification to be made, be it on the basis of one's IQ, EQ, background, status, colour even.

What is worrying is when one looks at these observations through tainted lenses which continually affirms the last judgement as so.

The danger comes when such biasness starts to get personal, creep up to the head, and make you think that things/people really are as bad as they are. Needless to say, viewing everything through such distorted notions lead to a very unhealthy state of mind. So unhealthy that it breaks relationships, hurt people and divides society.

Lesson of the day: Free yourself from your judgements, whatever they may be. And when you find yourself drowning in unneccesary finger-pointing, unrationale thoughts - snap out of it ASAP.
